On SHORE BOARDS......

............., a completely unique approach to the geometry of a speedboard whereas the front wheels were inline rather than parallel. Dan wasn’t afraid of the convention that was already forming in the Coast Longboarding Community and stood up in the races on that quirky design and raced just like everyone else predominantly riding the lowered boards that were sweeping the era. He raced and helped the develop the On Shore Board for 4 years before finally switching to a standard downhill skateboard setup.  Yes, his nickname of OSB Dan stuck for many years after even though he was riding a Kebbek Jim Z Flushcut Pro Model 'Drop Through" race set up.  Dan continued to race in both Coast Longboarding Events and other BC Racing events right up until 2010 were he finally retired from racing in professional downhill skateboard events.
